King's Girls' Football Team to Visit the USA
King’s College will be breaking new ground when they take their girls’ football team on a tour to North America.
In recent years King’s has enjoyed considerable success and is now the leading Independent School for girls’ football in the UK. It is this status that has led to them being invited to America.
The touring party will leave Taunton on 20 October and return ten days later. During their time away, the girls will be taking part in football and futsal tournaments in both New York and Philadelphia.
The King’s girls will also be visiting a number of American universities who offer sports scholarships to English students, and will be linking up with former pupils who are now studying there.
Chris Heayns, Director of Football at King’s said: “This is a great opportunity for the girls to be invited to play football in the United States.
“Not only is it a wonderful experience, but it will also give them a chance to visit some of the universities and see what these American institutions have to offer.”
