King's College OAs Prove Victorious in Reunion Match

As part of a recent reunion, former pupils of King’s College enjoyed a friendly match of football against the current 1st XI team.

The OAs, who graduated from the College in 2007, were slightly low on numbers, but a handful of keen King’s boys soon stepped in to make sure that the match was a meaningful encounter.

With the OAs taking an early lead, it was clear that the alumni had not lost their love of the sport. However, they soon missed the chance to increase their lead when they failed to convert a penalty.

King’s eventually took control of the game, establishing a 5-2 lead. At this point the Director of Football, Mr Heayns, made some creative substitutions, providing a platform for OA James Findlay to score a total of five goals in fine style.

Former pupil, Kabir Kohl W07 completed the scoring, giving the OAs a much-deserved 6-5 win.

The game proved a fantastic opportunity for both teams to engage in some competitive play, and was a great way to introduce the King’s alumni to the school’s up-and-coming talent.
