Football Leaders Celebrate Successful Term
The strong link that exists between Holy Trinity Primary School and King’s College has continued throughout the Michaelmas Term, with our Football Leaders running weekly coaching sessions for Year 4 pupils.
Recently, 70 Holy Trinity Primary School pupils rounded off their coaching sessions with our leaders by taking part in a six-a-side festival, which took place at King’s.
The link with Holy Trinity will continue after the Christmas break when it will be the Year 3 pupils’ turn to work with our Football Leaders.
Sarah Hughes, Leader of PE and Sport at Holy Trinity C of E VA Primary School said: “Our strong working relationship with King’s College enables our children to take part in a variety of exciting sporting opportunities led by their skilled pupils, including football and sports hall athletics.”
“Our pupils gain confidence, new skills and an understanding of teamwork which enhances their whole school experience. As a result of this, pupils are inspired to take part in other sporting activities outside of school.”
Sarah added: “The chance to access high quality facilities enriches the children’s sport provision.”
Chris Heayns, Director of Football at King’s College said: “Our link has been ongoing for a number of years and is a great experience for both their pupils and our Football Leaders.”
“It is a great opportunity for our Football Leaders to put into practice the skills that they have developed to help benefit others in the local community.”
