The King’s College Under 18 basketball team were recently crowned South West champions after beating Millfield School in the semi-final, and Taunton School in the final of the South West Basketball League tournament.

This achievement is all the more impressive given that earlier this season King’s had previously lost to both sides.

Team coach, Rob Woodman, said: “Special mention must go to the players who performed extremely well, and also for the impact the bench players made. Harry Au-Yeung must also be commended for winning the 3-point contest, with the ‘Most Valuable Player’ award being a close call between Kyle Chan and Charles Fung.”

He added: “Blundell’s hosted a fantastic event, which was clearly enjoyed by all involved and was by far the biggest crowd King’s has played in front of. This has been a thoroughly enjoyable season and its lovely to see a lot of hard work paying off. I am a very proud coach.”
