Our equestrian team performed exceptionally well at the British Showjumping ‘Just for Schools’ competition on Saturday, notching up a number of commendable achievements.

Upper Sixth pupil Georgia Hilton won the 90cm class, with Fifth Form pupil Matti Mercer achieving firsts in both the 1m 10, and the 1m competition. Overall, Georgia came second, Fourth Former Lara Chapple was fourth and Matti fifth, giving the King's team the win.

Last weekend, we also achieved success at King’s Sedgemoor, where the equestrian team, consisting of Lara Chapple, Fred Fisher, Matti Mercer, Sam Cobb and Lizzie Chetwide won the 1m and the 1m 5 classes. Matti went on to win the whole competition as an individual. These achievements resulted in the King’s riders qualifying for the championships at Hickstead that will take place later this year.
