Third Form pupil Josh Cobb and his Polden Hills Pony Club team travelled to Blenheim Palace at the weekend to take part in the 90cm Arena Area Eventing Finals.

With a 4am start, the family headed north, with Josh and his team drawn as the fourth team to go out of 45 in the 90cm Arena Eventing Finals.

Holding on to the lead all day, at 5pm, they received their awards from international event rider Piggy French.

Josh jumped a super clear, very close to the optimum time, and was also placed in the style section.

With a quick turnaround, the next destination was Stonar School for the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) National One Day Event (ODE) Championships. Jumping a lovely double clear, Josh finished just outside the individual placings.

We look forward to seeing more from Josh as he remains in hot pursuit of older brother Sam – both talented and highly accomplished riders and multi-sports athletes.
