Simon wins top A Level award

Former King's College pupil Simon Pritchard picked up an award last week for an outstanding performance in his Business Studies A Level last June.

He was selected as the top candidate in the Business and Society group of A Levels offered by the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA), out of an estimated 35,678 entries.

The award was presented at the AQA Annual Seminar and Awards held in Westminster, where the guest speakers were Sir Digby Jones, Director General of the CBI, and Rt Hon Jacqui Smith, Minister of State for Schools. Only 11 students in the country received A Level awards at the event, in subjects ranging from Maths to Sociology and Psychology.

Also present was King's Headmaster Chris Ramsey. "It was a great privilege to watch Simon collect his award. He was a credit to the school during his time at King's, and I'm delighted that his achievements have been publicly recognised."
